When printed is the right finish
Choose printed when the words are doing the work. A school name, a campaign line, a date, or a small logo all sit clearly on the surface. Keep the message short so it does not wrap into a jumble.
If the colour is the whole point and there is nothing to read, a plain band is enough. If you want the letters pressed into the band, that is debossed. Printed is the middle path: you can still see the wording without running your thumb over it.
